från sverige

I don't find this sweater to be boring. I think it might lie somewhere in between minimal and awkward.

I dig the clasps and the heaviness of it.

I also appreciate the geometry of the pattern, especially on the back.

Top: Kriss (Bellevue Square thrift store find)
Pants: Plato's Closet (Old Navy)
Necklace: Gift from Tulip Festival

I think of it as the Swedish answer to the popular "aztec sweater" (of which the internet defines in many ways)

A modern approach:

I wore pants....

A not so modern approach but cooler:

Plaidstallions.com is a cool 70's store

I am bewildered by this last image. Oddly enough I saw this exact top in a thrift store last week and kind of liked it, but this lady's whole look is throwin me off.

If I could describe this outfit in one word it would be "sensible."

Flan

Although this shirt has a tendency to wrinkle easily, I still like it. Purple is usually not my first choice but this shirt was a Christmas 2010 gift and the color has grown on me. This Christmas I got another flannel shirt. What does my family think of me?

kb's seen to the left and in this enlargement. I took them off to avoid dirtying them in the dead leaves and other grime.

This red pair is easily my favorite color. Feel like I can wear them with any shirt regardless of the color.

Shirt: Gift. Coscto?
Pants: Forever 21, the same weird stretchy pair
Socks: kb's, Costco
Necklace: Gift

Cartooned

This is what I like to call my "cartoon character look." As in, if I was in a cartoon, this is the outfit I would always be wearing.

This pair of kb's are WOOL! Not as good as smartwool I don't think but still significantly warmer than regular kb's. I haven't figured out how to wash them though. Whenever I have they get all fuzzy.

Possible cartoons

Shirt: Cutter and Buck, Value Village
Pants: Old Navy

First Look

Today was an important day, in that I didn't have to dress up.

A regular look - jeans, checkered shirt, kb's, my watch. I like this shirt because it reminds me of the 80's (?). and I also appreciate the subtle intrigue and nondescript nature of pastels. Get ready to see a lot of other boring clothes that look a lot like this wonderful ensemble.

I actually feel a little bad calling this watch boring because it was a gift, and I am sensitive about gifts.

and you can never go wrong with kb's. This theme will be re-iterated (about the kb's)

Shirt: Value Village
Jeans: Forever 21 ($10.50 and awkwardly stretchy)
Kb's: Costco
Watch: Gift
